CEM Schools Model

Our model is designed to allow Schools and Principals to focus on education and developing Christian students. Contrary to popular belief, this is not what Principals spend their time on. In most schools, Principals have to invest time into being the HR leader, architect, building project manager, media commentator, fundraiser, disciplinarian, finance expert and general visionary for their school.

In our model, the Principals have more time to focus on students, teachers and education because CEM takes responsibility for operations such as;

  • ICT
  • Marketing
  • Recruiting
  • Finance
  • BGA grants
  • Governance
  • Building programs
  • Policy writing
  • School registration
  • HR/recruiting/awards/payroll

This model has proven to have a number of benefits. Firstly, it removes administrative and business distractions from schools and allows them to focus on education. Secondly, it releases funds for Schools to re-invest in lower fees or more facilities. Thirdly, Schools benefit from the IP generated by the group.

Christian Education Ministries (CEM) currently operates nine schools under the brand 'Australian Christian College' in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and Tasmania. They are a mixture of large and small schools with approximately 3,000 students in total.

All Australian Christian Colleges provide an education that focuses on three core areas;

  • Academic Improvement
  • Student Wellbeing
  • Christian Growth

Australian Christian College schools are able to offer Online Education (online distance education) to students living in Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.

Australian Christian Colleges only employ Christian teachers who are passionate about children and education. Teachers encourage high levels of parental involvement in the school as they have an important role to play in the education of their children.
